For 15 remarkable years, the Magical Kenya Travel Expo (MKTE) has been the heartbeat of Africa’s tourism conversation; a think tank. Year after Year, the expo has brought together buyers, exhibitors, trade visitors, those in the travel and tourism industry, as well as other industries that are impacted by or contribute to travel trade to shape Africa’s tourism through dialogue, policy, and innovation.

This year’s theme, “Sustainable Tourism Growth: Unlocking Africa’s Potential,” sets the stage for conversations that move beyond promotion to transformation. And at the heart of this transformation? The MKTE 2025 Seminars team have curated lineup of thought-provoking sessions that address the sector’s most pressing challenges and emerging opportunities in sustainability and Africa’s tourism potential beyond the wildlife.

Designed as more than just a conference, the seminar program is a solution space where strategy, storytelling, and sector leadership converge.

Why It Matters

Africa’s tourism industry is at a turning point. As the world turns its eyes to the continent, the need for fresh ideas, bold leadership, and meaningful partnerships has never been greater.

The seminars come in, not as a side event, but are the center stage. This is where:

  • Buyers gain insider access to emerging destinations, innovative products, and authentic experiences shaping the next wave of travel demand helping them stay ahead of the curve and build stronger supplier relationships.
  • Exhibitors turn insights into sales opportunities by aligning their offerings with the latest market shifts and forging direct connections with decision-makers looking to invest, partner, or promote.
  • Trade visitors get more than a front-row seat; they get the tools, insights, and contacts to turn ideas into action, whether they’re scouting for partnerships, products, or cutting-edge business models.
  • Policymakers speak with refreshing honesty about the challenges and opportunities ahead from visa reforms to regenerative tourism.
  • Entrepreneurs unveil daring, tech-driven, culturally grounded ideas that could transform how we experience and invest in Africa.
  • Investors get early access to breakthrough ventures, from smart travel platforms to next-gen eco-resorts.
  • Communities share their stories and visions, shaping tourism not from the sidelines, but from the center of the conversation.
  • Trendsetters don’t just report what’s new, they define what’s next, setting the agenda for branding, strategy, and development across the continent.

Each session is designed not only to inform but to inspire action with opportunities for live Q&As, roundtable discussions, and networking directly with Africa’s top tourism thinkers and doers.
