- Ensure originality: Submissions must be original and not infringe on third-party IP rights.KTB will not be liable for IP Infringement.
- Acknowledge TK sources: Where submissions rely on traditional knowledge or cultural expressions, applicants must disclose source communities and seek relevant consents.
- Confidentiality vs. Disclosure: Consider whether innovations qualify for patent protection before public disclosure in abstracts or papers.
- Ownership clarity: Submissions should indicate who owns the IP (individual, institution, or collaborative).
- Trademark awareness: Check for existing trademarks if naming innovations, platforms, or products.
